Carrot extract or carrot seed oil is an essential oil obtained from the seeds of the carrot plant. Carrot seed oil is rich in antioxidants such as vitamin A, vitamin C and beta-carotene. It also has antibacterial and antifungal properties, which is why, many skincare brands are using it as a key ingredient and some even have a complete series of carrot products. You can find it listed in the ingredient list as, daucus carota sativa, daucus carota, carrot seed oil, carrot root water, or carrot extract.

3. Treats post-acne marks and blemishes.

If you are looking for a product with carrot extract or carrot seed oil, make sure not to use it with retinol as it already contains vitamin A and you don’t want to double the dose and irritation.
