Basic Beauty Blunders that You are Probably Making

Been there, done that. We’ve all made our fair share of mistakes and that’s okay. But what do you do when you’re running out of time, with not a single moment to spare and a makeup mishap just occurs out of nowhere? Here are 3 common beauty blunders you are probably making and how you can fix them.

Beauty blunders can strike when we least expect them, but there is always a way to prevent and fix them. Let’s begin, shall we?

1. Sleeping with makeup on

We’ve all had busy days and sometimes we are too tired to wash up before going to bed. But, at the end of the day, your face becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. Makeup, sunscreen, oil and grime can clog your pores, which can lead to congested, irritated skin and can cause acne.

Micellar waters come in handy on days you are extremely tired because they don’t require rinsing afterwards. Keep a micellar water and some cotton pads by your bed side and gently clean your face before going to bed.

2. Over-plucking eyebrows

Shaping your eyebrows can sometimes lead to over-plucking, but nobody wants a bald spot. So, how can you fix it?

Use a lash growth serum on bald spots to help them grow back. For a temporary fix, use a tinted eyebrow gel to fill up the area and add volume.

3. Not washing your makeup brushes regularly

Uncleaned makeup brushes house way more bacteria than you can imagine. And you’re basically reapplying all of that bacteria back on to your face, resulting in breakouts, redness, and other skin irritations.

Wash your brushes with warm water and soap on a weekly basis. On days you don’t have much time to clean them but still have to apply makeup, use your fingers to blend in the product.
