Do you often coat your lashes with multiple layers of mascara in hopes of making them resemble a pair of stunning falsies – but never seem to succeed? Well, we have a solution for you! Follow these simple steps to get your lashes looking longer and fuller in no time.
1. Hot Curl
Start by curling your lashes using a metal curler. To get the best results, use a hairdryer to heat the curler (but make sure it doesn’t get too hot!). As a rule, use the curler in three spots; the base of the lash, the center and the tip for the best results. Hold the curler at the base of your lash for about six to eight seconds, and move on to the next spot for the same amount of time. As you get to the tip, turn the curler so your fingers rest on your forehead – you’ll have perfectly curled lashes!
After curling, take your mascara and apply it to your lashes. For the first coat, start at the base of the lash, and twist the wand as you get to the tip. Go back in for a second coat, and this time wiggle the wand back and forth as you apply; this will separate your lashes and get rid of any clumps.
While your mascara is still wet, coat it with a layer of baby powder or powder makeup. This will create volume and a little bit of length. Go in once more with your mascara, wiggling your wand to cover the white powder, as well as remove clumps. Finish off with a quick squeeze of the eye lash curler and your lashes are done!
For added oomph, line your upper waterline with jet black pencil; this creates the illusion of fuller lashes.
Now go out and let your new falsies flutter!
