How to Tackle Dry, Dehydrated Skin During Ramzan

The holy month of Ramzan is a special time for all Muslims across the globe. While some people actually experience an uptick in energy levels during Ramzan, others may notice a change in their skin health. That’s because fasting can lead to dehydrated skin, especially in summer. But we are here to help. Here are a few things you should be doing for your skin during Ramzan to keep it healthy.

1. Keep yourself hydrated. Make sure you are getting at least 8-10 glasses of water after iftar and sehri. Eating watermelon, cucumbers and other hydrating fruits and vegetables will also help in providing moisture from within. This will help wake up your dull, tired skin and make it glow again.

2. Stay away from alcohol-based cleansers, toners, and masks as they can be drying for the skin. Instead, use cream or gel formulas.

3. Don’t skip your skincare routine. Exfoliate once a week to get rid of dead cells, unclog pores and improve skin texture.
