The Perfect Skincare Guide for All the Brides-to-be

Brides-to-be, it’s time to catch up on that glow.

Brides and brides-to-be are always under the pressure to look their best. While makeup and styling can help achieve a flawless look, a good canvas makes a wonderful painting. And so, you should treat your skin right. This skincare guide is exclusively for all of our brides-to-be who want healthy, glowy skin on their big day, and of course all 365 days of the year.

1. A gentle cleanser is a must

You don’t want a squeaky clean, tight feeling on your face after cleansing. A gentle cleansing gel or foam will remove all the impurities and leave you with hydrated skin.

2. Make friends with active ingredient based toners

Ingredients like vitamin C and niacinamide are great for every skin type, especially if you are a bride who want to keep her skin healthy and protected. Use brightening toners to get rid of blemishes and any pigmentation. Use a toner with AHA or BHA twice a week at night to gently exfoliate and hydrate the skin.

3. Keep a calming serum for emergencies

A busy schedule, makeup and inconsistent skincare routine can cause irritation, sensitivity, redness and breakouts. When faced with a skin crisis, it is best to stop using actives and help your skin recover by using a calming serum. Ingredients like vitamin B5 AKA panthenol and centella asiatica are great choices to soothe and calm the skin.

4. Don’t forget the moisturiser

All skin types need a good moisturiser to maintain a healthy skin barrier. Therefore, don’t skip it, even if you have oily skin.

5. Sunscreen is your BFF

Sunscreen will protect your skin from sun damage and environmental damage and help you achieve your skincare goals. For a matter of fact, you should also wear sunscreen indoors. To learn more about it, click here.

6. Give some TLC to your body

We often neglect our bodies and only focus on our face, but our bodies need some TLC too. Moisturise your body after a shower. Keep your hands and feet hydrated and moisturised all the time and seal in the moisture with some Vaseline.
